Power Animal

Many years ago I was researching my genealogy and found my proof of Creek lineage. I wanted to know their ways, their beliefs, so I started researching Native American tribes.

I found that even though they can be similar, they do differ from tribe to tribe, even within the same nation.

While researching I came across the concept of power animals and animal guides, I was hooked, a bell was loudly ringing inside of me, my ringing of truth.

I found that even though they differ they all believe to some degree that we are the animals' brothers and sisters, and in fact we are animal too. What resonated the most for me was that we have an animal within us, and up to seven to nine animal guides who help us at different times in our current lifetime.

Our power animal is who we are. We have the same or very similar behaviors, traits and/or commonalities as one particular animal. So HOW do you know what your power animal is?

I love horses. I believe it was my second word, and I asked for a horse every chance I got, never to get one. My Granddaddy stopped a neighbor riding his horse down the dirt road in front of his home and asked him if he would mind giving me a ride. My granddaddy added to make sure it was a good one and winked at the neighbor as he told him thank you.

I wasted no time! I was ready! We took off, wind was blowing through the horses mane, and through my long hair as well, it felt great! We were going seriously fast; my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest! I was a little bit scared, I only had the horn of the saddle to hold on to and nothing to put my feet on, but I leaned forward a little bit and held wrapped my arms around the horses neck, I could feel every muscle being used in his legs and neck, I could feel his heartbeat. The fear was gone. It felt like I was the one running, and every breath was in sync with the animal's, at that moment if felt like the horse and I were one and the same.

Needless to say, the ride didn't produce the result my grand daddy was looking for!

You will be stirred emotionally by the animal doing what it does naturally. You may find that you have posters, pictures, or statues of the animal, but you will not own your power animal. This would be dishonoring you and the animal. Study the behavior of the one animal that you feel a "special" kinship with, study their eating habits, habitat, and mannerisms, you will see yourself in these things, if the animal is your power animal.

Your animal guides are animals that are on the spiritual plane, which have chosen to help you learn their "medicine", or their power. For an example, say you are a very passive person who needs to stand up for yourself, but you find that just isn't you because your power animal may be deer or rabbit, you may find that bear, lion, or tiger come to you to as a guide to teach you to be fearless, courageous, and powerful. Another example would be if you are impulsive, and tend to explode with anger when cornered, much like a badger power animal, you may find deer, sea turtle, and dove comes to you to teach you patience, gentleness, and peace.

My Personal Dolphin Healing

Dolphin Healing

My awesome marvelous husband took me out on our boat dolphin watching a couple of years ago. We found a pod off to the side of Destin’s East Pass. I was thrilled to say the least! I wanted to do something for these precious beings; and being a Reiki II Practioner I decided to give the dolphins Reiki. I went to the side of the boat, leaned over, stuck my hands in the water and proceeded to send Reiki to the dolphins.

At that moment when I felt the Reiki flowing from my hands, the dolphin looked me straight in the eyes, and we connected. She lovingly accepted the Reiki, but she was not done with me! She held eye contact with me; and sent dolphin healing energy back! I felt the energy absorb through my hands, it tingled immensely as it moved up my arms, across my shoulders and down into my chest; when the energy hit my heart chakra, I felt a crack!

Spiritually, I was continually working to heal and unblock my heart chakra; but this beautiful being had just the right healing frequency to crack my heart chakra open! When it occurred, all of this emotion came pouring out, I was unable to stop it; every emotion a person can have, multiplied by several lifetimes all came out at once, along with the most beautiful emotion of all, love. I could do nothing but grab my beach towel and let the tears flow, however, I was compelled at that very moment to tell my husband thank you for bringing me here, this is the best day of my life; all while crying, sobbing uncontrollably, and unable to catch a full breath.

Bless him, my husband looked at me with a confused look and said “I’m glad you’re enjoying it?” I replied that I was enjoying it and thanked him over and over again. At that moment in time, I received the most precious of gifts, unconditional love from not one being but two of them!

I am love, I am loved. I am blessed.

My Awesome Horse Adventure

My Awesome Horse Adventure.

I have always been fond of animals, in fact, growing up; they were my friends, playmates and yes, family. Anyone who personally knows me knows I love horses; in fact, my power animal is the horse. (I'll blog about power animals at a later time.)

My wonderful, marvelous husband took me to his friend's house to see his horses. This was way out in the middle of nowhere, Milton, Florida. My husband, turned too early and basically ended up coming the back way, instead of the way he was used to. I connected instantly with a black and white paint horse I saw in a nearby field. I got excited when he turned onto the road where I had seen the horse in the pasture, he slowed down, and my heart was racing as I announced "I want to go visit that horse, right there." I pointed at the big black and white paint horse.

We turned down the road and drove up to the house, right past the paint that was grazing in the pasture, giving no interest in our presence what so ever. I was introduced to my husband's friend's wife, Tracy, for the first time, and I told her of my love for horses, she then proceeded to show me around to meet all the horses. There in the first pasture was the BIG black and white paint, she introduced him as "Taz" and told me that he did not belong to them, he was their border horse. I watched as he grazed, which blades of grass he chose over all others, I bent down and picked the grass and held it for him to take, which he did!

Then Taz looked deep into my eyes as I ran my hands along his head and down his nose, time stood still, we connected. Psychically he told me welcome to the pasture; I instantly knew he saw me as my power animal and not as a mere human being. I looked at him and said, "I know what you want, you want to race me, don't you?", "I'll race you!" I started jogging away from him, towards another horse Tracy wanted to show me.

At first Taz was content to keep pace with me, then he noticed where I was headed and totally cut me off, putting his entire body in my way, I had no choice but to stop. My heart was pounding; Taz was content in his efforts to keep me from visiting with the other horse! I told him psychically that he could talk to me at anytime he wanted, he was ok and let me go, but followed me around, and had to be given a treat so he didn't try to go out the gate.

I told Taz farewell, and thanked him for the race. Tracy and her husband were shocked at everything that had occurred, it seems that Taz hadn't made a connection at all with either one of them, and was very much his owner's boy. I had tears in my eyes on the ride home and thanked my husband for what I thought was the best day of my life, as it turns out, it wasn't, it just felt like it at the time!

There are signs everywhere, are you paying attention?

Just as there are road signs to help you safely navagate your route from one place to another, spirit gives us signs to safely navagate through our current life. These signs are everywhere, are you paying attention, or are you too caught up in the mundane world to catch them?

Our spirit guides, angels and even loved ones who have crossed over will send us signs. These signs are to let us know we are on or off track, that we are loved, that we are not alone, answer our questions, and some also to "lead" us where we are meant to be so that we can do what we were meant to do.

How open are you to signs? Signs are everywhere! Ever catch yourself thinking of a loved one who's passed on and then hear their favorite song on the radio? Or how about when your Dad was alive, he collected pennies, and everywhere you go, you see pennies on the ground as soon as you open your car door? Ever asked a personal question and turned on the radio or television to have the answer right there in your face?

Once you notice your sign, give gratitude for it, once spirit knows you are paying attention, I guarantee there will be more! Speaking of gratitude, Thanks Dad! I was told he would send me a bird on my way home from his grave yesterday, and I thought, "I only pay attention to hawks and/or falcons", but a peacock on the side of the interstate will get anyone's attention! Don't be surprised if your sign has humor attached, for twenty miles down the road a falcon flew across the road in front of me!

Buddah on my dashboard........

I have a little buddah on my dashboard. He is there to remind me to smile, have joy in all things, and love and respect myself along with everyone else. Yes, there are times when I need reminding of these things...after all I am human with emotions too! Not to mention I have to travel Highway 98 on a regular basis, enough said.

So whenever I get stressed over traffic, tourist, and quite frankly, motorists that need to go to driving school in my opinion, I look down at my little buddah on my dashboard and he's there smiling back at me. Nothing gets to him, EVER!

It's very hard to remain in negativity when someone is smiling at you! I think everyone should have a little smiling buddah on their dashboard, this world would be a much nicer place!

Believe it or Not, everything is as it's supposed to be.

The recent concern over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has prompted me to share my truth with you. Yes, it is a tragedy. Yes, sea life from turtles, birds, fish, on down to the shrimp and oysters and plankton will be affected. There has already been loss of life and will continue to be losses, and yes our beautiful waters will be affected for many, many years to come, but believe it or not, things are as they are supposed to be.

I am seeing people who are so worried or "tuned" into the oil spill that they themselves are being affected physically. I repeat, things are as they are supposed to be. In every aspect of life there are lessons to be learned, this oil spill is yet another chance for us humans to learn many lessons. One such lesson is to find better, greener, easily obtainable, renewable energy resources that are kinder and gentler to our Earth Mother and our animal brother and sisters. Another lesson here for humans has to do with not being greedy and taking our Earth Mother and our animal brothers and sisters for granted, to respect where we live and those who also inhabit it.

My beliefs lend me to those animals who do perish in this tragic situation has chosen to do so. Our animal ambassadors where here to teach us what happens when we loose sight of what truly matters. Now, I am not saying not to be concerned, or not to pray, far from it, only that these animals are teaching us many valuable lessons.

Try holding in your mind that the oil spill gets stopped and cleaned up, animals are healed and all is well. Positiveness goes a long way, and works wonders for manifesting. Try "seeing" the spill cleaned up, as if it never happened. Focusing on the "bad" or ugly side of this disaster will only give the negative more energy than we want it to have. There are things you can do to help out, you could volunteer to help with the clean up, either physically or by donations to the appropriate organizations. One thing we can all do is to pray often, making sure that you thank your "Creator" for the healing of Mother Earth and our animal family.

Your truth, you are entitled to it!

As we each walk along our spiritual journey, seeking our path, and our life's purpose, our belief systems will change. There is no cause for alarm or panic, there is order to the seemingly chaos. In order to find your personal truth, your belief systems need to be challenged in order to discover if they are truly yours, or what you have been taught or told by others.

The way in which our belief systems are "broken down" are through our own, individual experiences. You may find yourself being presented with things you never believed in before, never thought you would, and it may shock you because it is not through your "mind" that you are forced to reconsider your viewpoint, but through your experiences.

We then take on the process of building a new foundation, one that is uniquely our own. We are entitled to find out what is true for us, no one should put us down for what we believe, however there will be people who are on different levels of their soul's growth and those who have not fully "awakened", or begun their very personal journey.

Have compassion for others and try and overlook the comments and actions of the ones who are not compassionate of your personal truths. To these people, I always send love and light.

How to keep abundance flowing to you.

First, let me explain that abundance is so much more than most people think, abundance is not only money. Abundance is receiving a helping hand, a kind word, a good deed, an unexpected gift and yes, money as well.

To live in the flow of abundance we must stop seeing lack, going on the law of attraction, the more you focus on what you don't have, the more you will draw what you don't want to you. Focusing on the lack of money, job, or help only blocks abundance from flowing freely to you.

So, how do you get the abundance flowing again? You hold in your mind the idea that you have everything you need. I mean NEED. Not want, or wish you had, but absolute need. Once you are there, you do for others either openly or anonymously with what you do have, time, money, hug, kind words, good deeds, etc.

The flow will start slowly but surely. I must also mention to others out there that are like me, once you start the flow, you must then learn how to receive in order to KEEP the abundance flowing.

Receiving is another different ball game! It was so hard for me to accept abundance from anyone, and thus, my flow was blocked, because as you know, everything must be in balance! You must accept this as a rule of abundance. To give, you must learn to receive, to receive, you must learn to give, and balance will be restored and thus the flow will be restored.

Other than the "Secret", another good movie to watch that pertains to the subject is "Pay it forward", I would recommend watching it, even if you already have, watch it again.
